Vulnerability Management Analyst (Application)

Job Description:

Performs a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized information assurance problems. Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to IA requirements. Analyzes information security requirements. Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of work flow, organization, and planning, performs risk assessments and provides recommendation decisions. Conducts security assessments and security consulting services against GOTS and COTS products. Initial work will support new DLA software acquisitions with intent on expanding mission to include the GOTS software development process. Application types will be both Client and or server in nature for a wide range of target platforms. A VM environment will be used to perform assessments. IA Security Engineer will maintain provided VM environment.

Provide analysis of existing and emerging DLA Information Systems and IT Infrastructure to assess compliance with DLA, DoD and Federal Information Assurance policy, order, task and or regulation
Review both existing and draft/proposed changes against system design documentation and identify and document any areas of non-compliance
Assist with and/or conduct Security Test and Evaluation and IA assessment reviews as a way of validating compliance with DLA, DoD and Federal Information Assurance policy, order, task and or regulation. Scan or test results are required to be complete and accessible.

Develop and document standards and guides for the implementation of CS solutions including but not limited to, compliance, system security design, security testing and tactical CS assessments.
Maintain and restore baseline environments for software assurance testing. The expectation under Task 1 is that the contractor workforce will restore back to the baseline environment for software assurance testing. The baseline configuration will be implemented by a DLA Government IT I. Evaluation software (tools) will be hosted on primarily Windows, windows server and Red hat. Evaluation back end software is supported on site. There is a mix of VM and Physical servers thru DLA. Applications to be accessed are hosted on a broad range of Operating systems. Examples are Sun Solaris, HP Unix, Red Hat, DB2, Windows desktop, and Windows server, utilizing and maintaining VM environment to perform assessments in a sand box environment.

Required Qualifications:
Two years relevant IT experience.
Two years IA experience

Possession of following Certification CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security + ce, SSCP, CASP, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH
Possession of Top Secret clearance or higher
Or must have Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)

Software application experience required with one or more of the following:
Microsoft Visual Studio
Microsoft Visual Basic
Java Script
2 years of experience supporting one or more of the following: web server, infrastructure, security testing, application development, software deployment
Education: High school or equivalent
